From Wikipedia;

"A Pocket PC, abbreviated P/PC or PPC, is a hardware specification for a handheld-sized computer (Personal digital assistant) that runs the Microsoft Windows Mobile operating system. It may have the capability to run an alternative operating system like NetBSD or Linux. It has many of the capabilities of modern desktop PCs."

PocketPC is the name for any hand-held computer running the Windows operating system. Like the one above, they can provide many of the features of a regular computer, but do it on the go – things like web browser, email, text updates, and so on.

For the leisure traveler, the Pocket PC can be an invaluable (and fun) companion. You can buy/reschedule flights, check and re-check your itinerary, book hotels, reserve rental cars and more... all from anywhere, and all from the palm of your hand.
